  • Dear Pinky,I knew this series as a couple of TV movies or a miniseries with a different name. "Tales From a Parallel Universe" comes to mind. I was introduced to the show by my roommate. This was in the mid 90s if memory serves. I did read your other entry, but don't believe I left a comment. (I do a lot of blogreading at work but don't necessarily take the time to comment, cause, I'm, er, uh, well, I'm at work. LOL.I caught an episode of the "Lexx" series a few years ago (probably on the Sci Fi Channel (or SeeFee as it's now known)The effects looked a lot cheaper than I remember from the TV movies, and a different actress was playing the lead. Some of the things I remember about the series/miniseries/whatever were the collection of brains. The really handsome dude who had been dead for centuries, and of course the dragonfly without wings, er, I mean the Lexx, which is the subject of your post.Hope all the fans come out to check out your site.Michael F. • This is the most AWESOME post I have seen in a long time that appeals to a special side of me. I love Sci-Fi ! I knew eventually I'd find a Sci-Fi Fan ! *props* *thumbs up* *kudos*The series to which you are referring tho I have never seen yet tho. Is there a cute girl in it and is she hot ? You gotta have that with any Sci-Fi ! Φ π

  • @baldmike2004 - Mike, I'm blown away at your prolific memory every time I run into your stuff, and doubly amazed that you find the time to stop and say howdy to so many people!  =)  Lexx is my fave ever spaceship.  If any Lexx tribute could be made to you, it would be that your brain should be among the preserved.@dw817 - Cute girls, both *hawt*.  How's that?    I'm going to start with Season 1's first movie (season one was 4 movies, seasons 2-4 were a tv series), I Worship His Shadow, and go from there.  Yeah, get ready for some awesome, because I really like Lexxing.

  • @GrandFortuna - Well you've just piqued my interest lass, I'll definitely look into it now. *Grin*

  • Your page looks fantastic Pinky! Lexx was never broadcast in my country, as fas as I'm aware, really shamefull! Please keep doin what u do! ;)

  • @SFSeriesandMovies - You are so awesome tweeting me, thanx! =) I get a lot of tracks in from your area, just assumed it was a big thing over there. FYI, the Lexx eats Holland in the 4th series ep "Dutch Treat". There are so many inside jokes during that last season, now I have to wonder if that was a jab at not being able to sell to broadcasters or something.

  • Got the whole series from a friend of mine, ripped his dvd's, so I'm gonna dive in LEXX...sometime in the near future!Perhaps it has been broadcast last few yrs somewhere in the middle of the night but it did not 10-15 yrs ago.

  • It also hasn't been released on DVD here, nearest country would be the UK I think, like my friend did.I can sum up a lot more sci-fi shows haven't been released in The Netherlands....like Farscape also!

  • @SFSeriesandMovies - So are you region 2 over there? I've been diving into European live streaming the last few months, and bought a dvd player to convert to region 2 dvd's that aren't available for Americans. I'll be so glad when we get a global standard for marketing media. It's kinda dumb that one side of the world doesn't know what's going on the other side half the time, and there is some really cool stuff out there. Lexx has been so tied up in a property bundle on a shelf that it's only been recently that the entire 4 seasons have come out marketed by the same company. I was very lucky and bought the entire original series when Salter Street still owned Lexx, and got all 3 soundtrack cd's that were published. Hope your stuff plays well for you!

  • Indeed is region2. With Blu-Ray it's a bit better organized, a lot more tv shows and movies which do not have a region code.

  • I remember seeing this show. The blonde babe in the show gave me a hard-on every time I saw her. I jerked off to her many a time.

  • @CanuckFascist - I made the mistake of loaning the first season out to my brother. He pretty much held my DVDs hostage until I finally had to threaten him publically on facebook to give them back or pay me for them, and then everyone wanted to know WHY... But yeah, it was because of Zev.

  • @ekym@twitter - And Merlin has lots and lots of horses. Had fun with the trial watch party, maybe do it again sometime.

  • @gamesqo - I surmise that was a good link, so I'm going to let you have this one.

web stats

My first tracker was installed in 2004 and broke several times before moving to a new server, which lost a few months of stats, and then Xanga moved to new servers and I lost more stats for more months before the page came back up, so I've lost a total of about two years' worth of stats. The second was installed 2-22-14 and is considered very conservative by business owners who use analytics, which itself is very conservative, estimates being that roughly one third to one half of hits by real live people aren't even counted, most likely due to javascript discrepancies. Actual hits on several posts here are in the thousands now, and the Lexx Index in the ten thousands. I've got pingbacks turned off, so spam isn't counted at all within the Xanga internal tracker, and most direct post hits can be correlated to my real time linking activity on twitter and other social media. When I did Google Analytics beta testing I got to see how search engine performance compares to tracking. I believe live feed linking sources to various social medias are key to a future where search engines are more about performance than cataloging, which has been confirmed to me by coders who create bot algorithms as I was beta testing paper.li. I've fought hard through redundant age-old stacks to make my way to the google front lines again, so my Lexx work shows up faster on Chrome searches now. This has been a really interesting ride. At any rate, my point is, I can still go back 6 years on my original tracker and I can still see that in 2013 just before the last big blog server move, I was getting traffic like this (and since then, the tracker may have been abandoned, we can't tell). Click the thumbnail to see full size.

My original tracker also still lets me see the latest 500 visitors on a map. I once counted over 80 countries among the total visits. You guys are not alone. Click the map to see it better.

Besides Lexx, the most common search phrases that bring new visitors here are variations on 'huge spaceship'. The most seen post from a phrase search is How Big is the Lexx? My biggest Lexx referrer is Lexx Domain. Most of page views per person count comes from the Lexx tag on Tumblr. Visitors who stay the longest come through URLOpener and are pinged through the Google translator server in Mountain View, CA.
